Job Overview:
A very clean and friendly body shop is looking for a hardworking, dependable, and detail-oriented Detailer / Prepper/ Body man Assistant to support our body shop operations. This is a hands-on role that includes vehicle detailing, shop maintenance, and assisting body technicians with prep work, disassembly, reassembly, and light repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles inside and out (including wash, clay bar, compound, wax, vacuum, and interior wipe-down)
Assist body technicians with:
Disassembly and reassembly of vehicles
Panel prep (sanding, masking, taping)
Moving parts and tools
Light bodywork tasks as directed
Perform quality checks before vehicles are returned to customers
Maintain cleanliness of the shop area and equipment
Deliver and pick up parts if needed
Support the shop with any miscellaneous tasks as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in automotive detailing or body shop support preferred
Willingness to learn and take direction
Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
