The equipment operator/tear out specialist will be in charge of preparing the site for our new and ongoing construction projects. This task involves extreme care and the ability to read plans. Responsibilities/qualifications:
Remove, load and transport materials such as soil, gravel, and debris in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on the equipment, ensuring that it is in proper working order before and after operation.
Safely load and unload heavy equipment from trucks and trailers for transport to job sites.
Collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines and adhere to project specifications.
Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report any significant problems to the maintenance team.
Follow safety protocols and industry standards to ensure the safety of crew members and the public.
Accurately interpret and follow site plans and instructions provided by supervisors.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Requirements
Must have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
Minimum of 200 hours of recent experience operating Bobcat, skid steer, or other heavy equipment.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Strong knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in the operation of heavy machinery.
Ability to read and interpret site plans and construction drawings.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Reliable transportation and a strong commitment to punctuality.
Criteria
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time while operating equipment.
Capable of performing repetitive motions and working in various outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
