Job Description:
Roadway Construction, LLC is an established General Contractor located in South Florida and we are looking for a seasoned Excavator Operator with extensive experience in underground utilities to operate and maintain heavy excavation equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in trenching, pipe laying, and working safely in various underground conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators to dig trenches and perform excavation work for underground utilities.
Coordinate with superintendents, utility crews, and other construction personnel.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on excavation equipment.
Ensure quality and precision in all excavation tasks, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators, specifically in underground utility work.
Strong knowledge of excavation techniques, trenching, and pipe laying.
Familiarity with utility mapping and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
OSHA 10 certification preferred
Bi-lingual preferred
