We are hiring an experienced Light Duty Lead Diesel Technician to join the RNW family of talented diesel techs servicing the best customers in South Florida. Our shop is located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. Our team services all vehicles but specializes in custom trucks with the majority of our customers being fleet accounts.
If you are an experienced light duty diesel technician - with tools - that works hard, is reliable, enjoys the challenges of turning wrenches and solving nightmares, we have a spot for you!
The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects - from routine maintenance to complete engine replacements. You must be RELIABLE, with a positive CAN DO attitude, and able to work everyday Mon - Fri.
Job Description:
Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Completes preventive maintenance, installs component and part upgrades
Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
Completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
