A fence installer's job duties include measuring and marking the area, digging holes, setting posts, and installing fence panels. They may also need to inspect and repair existing fences.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare job sites
Measure and mark the installation area
Dig holes for fence posts
Set posts in concrete or other stabilizing material
Attach fence panels, pickets, or other materials to the posts
Install gates
Perform minor repairs and adjustments
Observe health and safety regulations
Cooperate with other team members
Report on work progress
Skills and qualifications:
Experience installing various types of fences
Excellent attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Superb interpersonal abilities, including excellent communication
Capacity to fulfill duties independently and on time
Physically fit and dexterous
Other considerations:
Ensuring the truck has all the equipment and fencing materials for the day of work
Working with customers to determine their fence installation needs and preferences
Completing work on time and within budget
Re-locating expenses offered for the right person/people
Need to be self-motivated, experienced and hard working.
