About the Role:
The primary function of the position is to install installations for enclosures, railings, handrails, curtain walls, door entrances, sun shades, mirrors, countertops, windows, sliding door systems, commercial storefront applications, glass shower doors, and other projects. Gatsby Glass has a team first inclusive culture while encouraging independence to maximize your skills and talents.
Responsibilities:
Performs measurements, installations for enclosures, railings, mirrors, countertops, windows, sliding door systems, commercial storefront applications, glass shower doors, and other projects.
Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
Maintain and manage the necessary van stock/inventory (equipment and tools)
Manage the operations of the warehouse from receiving to preparing glass for installation.
Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
Willingness to tackle other projects and business needs as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
Must have 5 or more years of experience installing within the glass industry.
Must have a working knowledge of glass installation equipment and all grades of glass.
Must be able to read drawings and / or instructions and install accordingly.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must have a strong work ethic.
Must be detail oriented.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Must be physically able to install heavy glass.
Vision abilities include seeing up close and distance, peripheral, depth, and color.
Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 75lbs.
Must be able to operate delivery van (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
