Clothing Solutions is primarily an alterations boutique that also offers a wide range of services to help people dress their best. We focus on providing high quality standards and personal service on everything clothing related, whether casual or formal wear.
We have a flexible work schedule and are looking to fill full and part-time Seamstress positions.
Responsibilities include:
-Fit, mark or pin garments on customers to determine required alterations and repairs.
-Use industrial sewing machine to do requested alterations to wide range of garments, can be anything from jeans to formal gowns. Including hemming pants/dresses, replacing zippers, taking-in and letting out waists, straps, hips, shortening sleevesetc. and other repairs such as mending and sewing buttons as needed.
-Presses finished products.
-Maintains the sewing station/areas clean and orderly.
Qualifications:
-Professional level sewing and alteration experience is a must! Vocational education or training in sewing, tailoring, fashion and costume design would be an asset.
-Experience using industrial sewing machines.
-Those who have experience working on both men and women's clothing and or have worked with a range of fabrics including formal wear will be preferred.
-Bilingual - English and Spanish would be preferred.
-Responsible, honest and hardworking and capacity to work in a team environment.
