Senior Automotive Technician/Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with a focus on providing high-quality service and exceptional customer satisfaction. As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, ensuring all work is performed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnostics and Repairs:

Perform advanced diagnostics on a variety of vehicle makes and models.

Conduct repairs and maintenance, including engine repair, brake systems, electrical systems, transmission services, and other complex automotive issues.

Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and resolve issues.

2. Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings, necessary repairs, and maintenance needs.

Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines.

Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service.

3. Team Leadership:

Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and support as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and optimal customer service.

4. Continuous Improvement:

Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in automotive repair.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Implement best practices to improve service efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead technician role.

Certifications:

ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications preferred.

Additional manufacturer-specific certifications are a plus.

Skills:

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical or vocational training in automotive repair.
