What You Will Be Doing?
Sew fabrics using an industrial sewing machine or other stitching machines
Hand sewing when needed
Ability to cut and measure fabrics and other custom goods
Clean and iron linens as specified by manufacturer and company policy
Inspect the finished product with attention to detail
Responsible for ordering thread and other necessary material
Report all maintenance or repair issues to supervisor and maintenance staff
Maintain inventory of bolts of fabric
All jobs must be completed on time
Upholds the quality control standards of the company
Report safety violations to supervisor
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations
Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operations of the company
Attend department and safety meetings
Perform other duties as requested
Working Conditions:
Most work will be indoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air-conditioned. Exposure to above-average temperatures is prevalent. The typical tools (hampers, dollies, racks, etc.) can be considered hazards.
