BlueWater Chairs: A 37 Year well established marine wood helm and fighting chair, furniture and accessory manufacturer looking for motivated individuals for wood manufacturing and assembly department with opportunity for advancement. Consistent growth due to increased market share and product line has provided the opportunity for a larger manufacturing department. Position offers consistent year round work with overtime available. All necessary tools are provided. Each individual will work as part of a team in independent area under general supervision of manufacturing and assembly of wood helm, fighting chairs and other related marine accessories.
DUTIES:
Under general supervision, performs duties to cut, shape, finish cut and assemble wood parts. Final assembly of parts to build wood helm chairs, fighting chairs, marine tables and other accessories. Use fixtures and templates to arrange parts to meet build specifications. Prepare finished material to be final sanded and have finish applied. This is done with the use of hand work and powered hand tools and equipment.
Understand and accept production work orders to determine scope of work and necessary materials.
True wood planks, smooth, shape, and cut materials necessary for finished product
Use fixtures and templates to cut, shape and bring together materials for complete parts.
Along with Supervisor, visually inspect materials for proper coloring and structure for accurate final results.
Work with Supervisor to determine best practice for construction and completion of piece.
Transfer product to and from work station in a safe manner.
Observe and follow safety precautions, rules and regulations.
Report quality and production concerns and issues to Supervisor.
Keep work environment neat and clean.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
Ability to speak read and comprehend instructions in English.
Ability to use a variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools provided.
Ability to work overtime as necessary.
