Commercial Construction Company is looking for an extremely qualified candidate. We are looking for someone who can work as a working supervisor. Our company self performs the majority of our work so we are looking for some who can do multiple tasks. You will have to give orders and help 2 employees who may have work-related questions throughout the day. You will also be required to work on job sites for full days. You must have commercial construction experience working in offices and following codes. You must be able to build walls and other tasks to code. If you only have residential experience, you will not be a fit for us. You must have good experience and ability to perform ALL of the following skills:
1. You must be able to read FULLY architectural plans.
2. You must have experience and be able to install metal stud walls, install drywall and level 4 finish.
3. You must be able to apply stucco on exterior walls.
4. You must be able to perform concrete work like installing rebar and pouring slabs, columns and tie beams.
5. You must be able to paint well.
6. You must be able to install doors, door handles, door closers etc.
7. You must have your own vehicle and tools.
8. You must be able to work quickly and alone at times. We have multiple jobs and must get jobs done to go to the next.
9. You must be driven, a go getter, and work quickly and efficiently.
10. You must be able to communicate respectfully with clients.
11. We do not allow smoking breaks, if you smoke you will need to wait until the end of the day. We do a lot of work in active offices, and we have gotten complaints from clients about employees smelling of cigarettes.
12. We do not permit drug or alcohol use.
13. You must be physically able to work inside or outside. We often don’t know where we will be until the day before.
14. We work all over Dade and Broward County. You must be able to go to these different locations.
15. You must be available to work nights and or weekends. The normal job is Monday to Friday 8-4:30. However, there are times we must work a night or a Saturday or Sunday. You must be available to work those days/nights if you’re needed.
16. You must be legal to work in America as the job is on the books. We will not 1099 anyone. We pay overtime after 40 hours of work.
17. We are starting the salary off at $35.00 per hour, negotiable.
