SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for driving truck or automobile over either established or unique routes to pick up and deliver of donated and purchased food items, products, collects documentation from customers, and provides receipts for donated items by performing the following duties.Job Schedule will be Mondays thru Fridays 8.30AM to 5PM : :Possible Shift change can include a SaturdayJob DescriptionJD DriverSUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for driving truck or automobile over either established or unique routes to pick up and deliver of donated and purchased food items, products, collects documentation from customers, and provides receipts for donated items by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to deliver/ pick up purchased or donated items such as: furniture, food, supplies to customer's home or from food vendors. Writes/signs customer receipt, follows instruct ion s. Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record. Calls on prospect live customers to solicit new business. Prepares donation forms and obtains receipt s. Informs regular customers of new services. Listens to and resolves service complaints. Places stock on shelves, racks or back of the house. Sets up merchandise in floor space and issues sales/ pro motion materials to customers. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Remove broken furniture, junk items and empty y all thrift store trash containers. Loads/unloads truck. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Maintain s pleasant and appropriate relationships with donors. Cleans inside/ outside of t ruck. Empty and clean trash cans discard the cardboard/garbage & take the recycling from the Poverello Center to the LWC. Performs routine maintenance on truck like refueling and maintaining safe fluids levels. Assist with the water pump as needed.
