We are seeking an experienced Mule Driver to join our client in the logistics industry. The Yard Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within the yard, ensuring that all freight is loaded and unloaded accurately. The ideal candidate would be someone with experience driving a yard mule and moving shipping containers around the warehouse property.
Pay Rate: $19HR
Location: Medley, FL
Schedule: M-F, 8AM - 5PM
Responsibilities
Safely operate yard mules to move trailers and containers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and designated parking spots.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel, forklift operators, and shipping/receiving teams to ensure efficient movement of trailers for loading and unloading.
Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors to follow schedules and ensure timely delivery and placement of trailers.
Assist in securing trailers by setting and releasing trailer brakes, chocking wheels, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Monitor yard traffic to maintain safe conditions and avoid delays in warehouse operations.
Requirements
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) is required.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or truck driver is required.
Experience with tanker, flatbed, or route driving is a plus.
Proven ability to load and unload freight efficiently.
Familiarity with operating forklifts and other yard equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
