Senior Editor role: As an experienced editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping unique, custom projects for America’s most influential institutions and corporations. What You’ll Be Doing:
● Project Management - Manage book projects from concept to completion.
● Editing & Writing - Refine and enhance manuscripts to ensure clarity and impact.
● Research & Fact-Checking - Dive deep into the histories of companies, nonprofits, and other organizations.
● Photo Research & Captioning - Work with photos and other visuals in a way that supports compelling narratives.
● Client Collaboration - Engage in a collaborative manner with clients to help bring their stories to life.
What We’re Looking For:
● Experience - A minimum of 5 years in publishing (may include editing, writing, and project management).
● Communication - Strong written and verbal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
● Tech-Savvy - Proficiency in InDesign, Google Workspace, and management software
● Self-Starter - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with limited supervision
● Local Candidates Only - Must reside in South Florida (Broward, Palm, Beach, or Miami-Dade). This position is full-time in office with some remote work possibilities down the line.
● Team player - We work together as a collaborative team and you will be a key part of that!
● Bonus Points - Experience with interviewing subjects; knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style.
