Job DescriptionOne of Insight Global's major clients are seeking a Site Structural Engineer to join their team. Selected candidates will be responsible for the support of projects based out of one of the client's field offices located in Ft. Myers, FL. Additional responsibilities include: Provide technical support during construction for all activities by responding to RFI's and reviewing shop drawings. Prepare calculations determining building dead, live, wind, and seismic loads. Prepare construction specifications. Determine member stresses and sizes using structural analysis programs and backcheck results using manual calculations. Design multi-story steel framed structures for offices, warehouses, manufacturing for mixed-use. Design concrete walls, foundations, and slabs for buildings, tanks, and miscellaneous structures. Review the calculations and drawings generated by more junior engineers. Coordinate requirements of structural systems with the architect, HVAC engineers, plumbing engineers, electrical engineers, and process engineers. Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers. A Professional Engineering License is required. Experience with retrofit projects RISA, STAADPro or Tekla Tedds software experience Experience with Autodesk Robot is a plus. Experience in aviation related structures or large commercial buildings is a plus.
