The Neptune Resort is currently seeking a Full Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate has a positive and upbeat personality and is focused on exceeding guest expectations. Prior customer service is required as well as strong communication skills and basic office administration skills.
Schedule: Varies based on business needs. Must be flexible. Available to work holidays and weekends.
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional service by performing the following daily functions:
- Assisting guests during check in and check out.
- Informing guests of hotel amenities and local attractions to enhance their experience.
- Accommodating guest needs during their stay.
- Providing assistance over the phone answering guest inquiries/questions and directing to the appropriate contact.
- Managing walk-in traffic. Smile and greet customers in a welcoming manner.
- Providing quotes for room rates and up-sell the guest when possible.
- Assisting in coordinating the Front Desk and the Housekeeping Department.
- Verifying that the correct charges and credits are posted to the corresponding guest folio. Collect payment for charges on the guest folio.
- Ensuring all cash and cash equivalents are accounted for and balanced at the beginning and end of each work shift.
- Resolving guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refer the matter to the management.
