This position requires the candidate to provide daily support and assistance to an individual in their home, helping with all activities of daily living. The individual is outgoing and enjoys spending time in the community, so the candidate will also engage in community activities with them. The role is compensated on a day rate basis, ranging from $220 to $260 for each 24-hour period. As a direct care provider, it is essential to submit daily electronic service logs documenting all activities that took place during the day.
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Caregivers. As an In-Home Caregiver, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Must Be able to use a Hoyer and lift up to 160 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Document client care activities and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality
- Provide direct support and care in accordance with individualized care plans
- Lift and transfer clients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices, as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report any abnormalities or concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of caregiving systems and practices is a plus
- Familiarity with ADLs (activities of daily living) is beneficial
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations is desirable
- Experience in patient care or direct support is advantageous
- Background in social work or a related field is a bonus
