Requirements for CNA/HHA:
Certified as a CNA or HHA in Florida
Drivers License and reliable transportation with Current Proof of Insurance
Previous CNA or HHA experience in the United States
Health Statement/Physical signed by a Licensed Physician (Current - Valid for 2 years)
Tuberculosis Test (Current - Valid 1 year for skin tests, 5 years for x-rays)
Active Level 2 Background
CPR Certification (Current - Valid for 2 years, Online Course NOT acceptable)
HIV/AIDS Certificate (2 hours)
Domestic Violence Certificate (2 hours)
Alzheimer's/Dementia (2 hours)
Assistance with Self-Administered Medications (2 hours)
ADRD Training Certificate (1 hour, can be obtained at www.elderaffairs.org/adrd-training/ for free).
Caregiver must live in Collier or Lee county (or other nearby counties) but cannot live more than 50 miles from the area.
