This Golf Course Maintenance Equipment Operator's responsibilities involve coordinating with golf course managers to determine the desired look and the care required to maintain the golf course. Golf course maintenance workers are responsible for ensuring that the course is safe for play. This involves going over the grounds with an eye for potential hazards, such as sinkholes, flooding, cracked or damaged paths, debris, and animals. Work hours can start as early as 5 AM, and you must be able to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
The candidate must be able to:
work outside in varied climatic conditions
lift and carry up to 50 pounds
able to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English
have a positive attitude and be punctual for work
willing to work on holidays and work overtime
must like working with their hands and be self-motivated
