Shaughnessy Overland Express is a small business in Naples, FL. We are professional, challenging, supportive and our goal is to Maintain our fleet of 11 specialty built 53-foot Kentucky Enclosed trailers and maintenance on our fleet of 11 leased Penske new model (2020 to 2023) Volvo Power Units. You would be responsible for keeping all our equipment safe and DOT compliant.
Qualifications
Automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge
Experience in assigning jobs to a team
Monitoring and replacing tires on the units as needed
Proficiency in using hand tools for vehicle maintenance
Knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, alignment, electric, hydraulics, and suspension
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage a team effectively
There are daily reports from drivers on the road and you would be responsible for tracking repairs and replacing equipment the drivers report. The drivers usually return on Friday and Saturday so you would be working weekends regularly.
