Shipping/Logistics Coordinator

Learning & Advancement
Learn the fast-paced electronics industry from a company that has been doing it for 30 years. Opportunities for advancement are available if you have an aptitude for marketing, accounting, or business. However, expect to be in this position for at least 2 years.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ship and receive parcels and freight domestically and internationally according to procedure
- Resolve delivery delays and/or complications
- Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing orders accurately and within a timely manner
- Provide the documentation and update ERP systems for all incoming and outgoing shipments
- Organize scrap shipments and required paperwork
- Maintain an organized and neat work environment
- Ensure adequate shipping supplies are always on hand
- Identify opportunities for improvement in receiving, shipping, and inventory processes
Qualifications
- Attention to detail is critical
- Must be able to push, pull, and/or lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- Must have strong math skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple responsibilities
- Experience with driving and maintaining forklifts, especially stand up models
- Computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently as well as with others
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Comfortable traveling for a few times a year
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must be able to pass a drug test and a background check
- Preferred Qualifications
Experience with shipping (freight and parcel)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
Proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks
Experience with ERP systems
Forklift Experience
Job and Benefits
Type: Full-Time
Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday - Friday with occasional overtime
Pay Rate: Starting at $23/hr
401(k) savings opportunity after one year of employment
Paid holidays upon hiring
Two weeks of paid vacation days after one year of employment
Reports to: Operations Manager
All personnel may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities, as necessitated by business demands. Applicants will be subject to a drug screening test and a background check prior to any offer of employment.
