Primary responsibilities:
Ideal candidates will have experience working outside and will be open to learning and training to enter the land surveying industry.
Maintain safe usage of surveying equipment
Cut and run survey lines around roadways
Clear any brush or trees away from the survey line
Measure how far different points are from each other, using tape or electronic equipment
Lay out stakes to prepare for survey measurements
Make sure area measurements are accurate, and conditions are suitable for the project.
Use a surveying rod at given points to ensure that elevation is measured accurately
Write down survey measurements and descriptive data using notes, drawings, and sketches.
Requirements:
· Minimum of experience non-required, willing to learn.
· High school diploma
· Use basic computer processes for data entry
· Self-motivated, have strong initiative, and desire to learn and advance in the survey profession.
· Positive and team-oriented with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team Valid driver's license Background check and drug test mandatory for employment
