Local Amusement Manufacturer Seeking Fiberglass Fabricator
Galaxy America, an amusement ride manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Fiberglass Fabricator with a minimum of 3years experience. www.galaxymultirides.com
Job Duties to include but not limited to:
Clean and apply wax to mold surfaces
Spray gel coat in molds
Apply Fiberglass and Resin in Mold following a layup schedule.
Check all dies, templates, and cutout patterns to be used in the manufacturing process to ensure that they conform to dimensional data, photographs, blueprints, samples, and/or customer specifications.
Check completed products for conformance to specifications and for defects
Inspect, clean, and maintain molds
Repair or modify damaged or defective glass-fiber parts, checking thicknesses, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair.
Trim cured materials by sawing them with diamond-impregnated cutoff wheels.
Trim excess materials from molds, using hand shears or trimming knives.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of fiberglass experience
Must be willing to assist in other departments as needed
Strong communication skills
Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift regularly
Must be self-motivated and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and successfully complete all authorized employment screenings.
