Hello, my name is Alex and I am seeking a position with a CGC who specializes in four story or greater commercial buildings.
In the interest of full disclosure and transparency, I believe it is very important for me to reveal details with regard to myself and my experience:
I am 77 years old and I weigh 122 lb and, honestly, when I look in the mirror I realize that I don't exactly look like the "sharpest knife" in the drawer BUT nothing could be farther from the truth.
I used to live in Virginia where I was a Class A Contractor in the Charlottesville area for 20 years and specialized in historic restorations and some new construction but never got involved in commercial construction even though I was licensed for commercial. In addition, I worked with my father when I was 12 years old restoring historic structures so my construction experience far exceeds the 20 years as a Class A Contractor.
With this said, I have several friends who are fairly young and who have tried multiple times to pass the CGC exams and could not and they bet me that I would not be able to pass them either BUT I did pass all of the exams in a little over four and a half months and on the first attempt but it was not easy by any stretch of the imagination.
So, my situation is this, since my Va Contractor's license expired more than 2 years prior to application, they would not honor my experience certificate so I need Fl experience to qualify.
At this point you may be thinking that I will be competition for you but my philosophy is that I always work together with others in business as opposed to competing with them and this creates a Win-Win for all and everyone ends up with more in their pocket and I am fairly sure this is every business persons primary goal.
As for me, I am a problem solver, detail oriented, conscientious, reliable, honest and will watch the other persons back at all times. I am perfectly comfortable with doing supervisory work as well as hands on work or whatever is required to keep projects moving forward. In addition I am healthier and more energetic now than when I was a teen and 12-16 hour work days have little to no negative affect on me. A few years ago, I decided to remove all limitation in life so I no longer have anything to slow me down.
Okay, if anything that I have mentioned interests you then please email, text or call anytime; I never close
