Position Overview
The Xactimate Estimator will be responsible for assessing property damage, preparing detailed estimates using Xactimate (Level II/III preferred), collaborating with insurance adjusters, and supporting project management team success from start to finish. This position requires strong knowledge of the insurance restoration industry and construction practices.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct on-site inspections and scope losses for water, mold, fire, smoke, biohazard, and structural reconstruction projects.
Create accurate, detailed estimates in Xactimate following industry standards and carrier requirements.
Prepare sketches, photos, and supporting documentation for claims packages.
Negotiate estimates and supplements with insurance adjusters and third-party reviewers.
Communicate estimate details with homeowners, adjusters, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Work closely with production team to ensure project budgets align with estimates.
Track, update, and revise estimates as needed during project lifecycle.
Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience estimating insurance restoration or construction projects.
Proficiency in Xactimate (Level II or III preferred).
Experience with water mitigation, mold remediation, fire/smoke, biohazard cleanup, and rebuild estimating.
Strong understanding of building materials, construction processes, and insurance claim workflows.
Excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, AMRT, FSRT, etc.) a plus but not required.
