We are seeking an Independent Contractor who owns a white cargo van in good condition. Applicants must have a clean background, free of DUIs and felonies.
Responsibilities:
- Arrive for work by 6 AM
- Breakdown pallets, sort merchandise, and organize your route using your chosen navigation app (Google Maps is recommended)
- You can complete your work by 3 PM to 3:30 PM, depending on how you plan your route
- Average driving distance is under 150 miles per day
- Responsible for your own gas, transportation costs, breakdowns, tolls, and tickets
- As an Independent Contractor (IC), you are also responsible for your own taxes
- Always arrange for someone to cover your routes when you are unavailable or need a day off
Please note that the last two weeks of December, typically slow weeks, will be blocked for days off.
Job Details:
- Deliver office products to businesses and residential locations
- Average 25-30 stops per day;
- Routes start in South Fort Myers (41 & Alico), with some stops in Fort Myers, followed by deliveries to Naples, Ave Maria, and Immokalee City, including Seminole Casino
Physical Requirements:
This job requires heavy lifting and bending. We provide the necessary equipment to load your van. You must have your own hand truck and insurance coverage with a minimum of $100,000/$300,000 liability and $50,000 in property damage.
