Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Oversight:Supervise up to five (5) inmates during maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with correctional facility protocols and safety standards.Act as a role model and enforce discipline while promoting teamwork and responsibility among the inmate team.Advanced Maintenance Tasks:Perform and oversee advanced maintenance operations, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment, machinery, and infrastructure.Provide technical expertise to the inmate team and assist in skill development under supervision.Safety and Compliance:Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Ensure all maintenance activities align with correctional policies and legal standards.
 Operational Management:Plan, delegate, and oversee daily maintenance operations to meet facility goals and deadlines.Drive and operate commercial vehicles with air brakes as required for maintenance tasks.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and inmate performance.Communication and Coordination:Communicate effectively with inmates, staff, and management through approved channels.Serve as the primary point of contact during maintenance operations and represent the department professionally.Professionalism and Representation:Wear a uniform identifying your supervisory role and adhere to correctional standards at all times.
