Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

Provides administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies, completing projects in support of compliance examiners and auditors.

Performs Compliance Audits according to the audit schedule.

Performs Adverse Action reviews for consumer lending and performs TRID reviews with error reporting.

Other Duties as Assigned:

Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information based on multiple Federal regulations.

Gathers all needed reports and information from other departments in order to complete compliance audits.

Keeps a compliance audit log in order to ensure findings are addressed.

Reviews all consumer lending adverse action documentation for accuracy and communicate result, both written and verbal.

Keeps all compliance logs up to date for Adverse Actions.

Send out notices to lenders about pending applications to stay in compliance of timing regulations.

Completes TRID analysis for both Secondary and RELP including preparation of monthly error reports for management.

Supports departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments.

Helps others by answering questions and responding to requests.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.

Enhances compliance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Understanding of the regulatory process and maintain a proficient knowledge of specific regulations through self-development and formal training.

Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.

Strong organizational and planning skills

Verbal/written communication skills able to communicate tactfully with all levels of bank personnel showing consideration to other team members.

Ability to multitask issues and projects while maintaining composure when working under pressure or stress.

Ability to learn specialty software programs as necessary.

Excellent research skills with the ability to design and conduct a systematic, objective and critical investigation.

Strong problem solving skills including critical thinking

Physical Requirements – Lifting – The ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. up to a height of 3-4 ft. Standing/sitting - Must have the ability to remain in stationary positions 75% of the workday. Dexterity – The ability to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, adding machine, copy machine and printer. Hearing – the ability to exchange accurate information to customers in regards to their accounts and/or banking procedures.

Active Learning Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem solving and decision-making. The ability to learn technical material.
