The Department of Chemical Engineering is looking for a dedicated Federal Work Study Student to join our team. This role offers a hands-on experience that’s perfect for those interested in research and possibly completing an honors thesis.Key Responsibilities:

Learn and execute all tasks related to the care and maintenance of our Plodia interpunctella silkworm cultures, including monitoring growth, counting caterpillars, preparing their diet, cleaning habitats, collecting and cleaning silk, and more.

Assist with lab safety activities, such as flushing eye wash stations and updating the chemical inventory.
