Senior Accountant

Description Job Description:The Senior Accountant, a key member of the US Finance Team, is responsible for supporting accounting, finance, and risk management functions across all US locations. This role involves overseeing core financial activities, including accounting, tax compliance, risk management, and internal/external audits. The Senior Accountant also ensures the effectiveness of internal controls and assists with the development of streamlined financial processes. Acting as the deputy to the Accounting Manager, this role will play an integral part in treasury and cash flow management, as well as providing ad-hoc financial analysis.Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of financial policies and practices.

Support cash planning and management to meet business financing needs.

Collaborate with external and internal audit/tax teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Prepare tax filings for federal, state, and local agencies.

Manage fixed assets, including tri-annual inventory, monthly depreciation, and amortization schedules.

Conduct end-of-month and year-end financial reporting and analysis.

Ensure effective engagement with external auditors.

Support Business Units in maintaining ERP system accuracy and consistency.

Lead the annual physical inventory process.

Occasional travel required (up to four times per year).

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, finance, and regulatory compliance.

Understanding of corporate tax regulations.

Experience in internal controls and audit processes.

Proficiency in inventory management and manufacturing cost accounting.

Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

Proficient in SAP, particularly as a FI/CO user.

Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.

Excellent time management and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA or CPA preferred.

Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Internal audit and corporate tax experience is an advantage.
