Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team. The Upholsterer will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and creating upholstered furniture pieces. If you have experience with assembling, sewing, and using various tools, we welcome you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and disassemble furniture pieces for reupholstering
- Use sewing machines to stitch together fabric and materials (optional, not required)
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and attaching materials
- Fabricate custom upholstery pieces according to specifications
- Sew covers, cushions, and other upholstery components (optional, not required)
Requirements:
- Proven experience in upholstery work
- Proficiency in using sewing machines for upholstery purposes (optional, not required)
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools and power tools used in upholstery work
- Ability to fabricate custom upholstery pieces
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship skills

The business was established 36 years ago. It is still owned and operated by the same proprietor. We carry over 1500 bolts of fabric located in the front of the store. The back is designated for the work room where we upholster all varieties of furniture, making valances, cushions, duvets, pillows, etc. We work hard to please our customers and have a great reputation in Gainesville and beyond. People bring their furniture from miles around because of our long time standing of quality and expertise.
