This role is perfect for individuals with a strong background in parts inspection and a keen eye for detail, aiming to leverage their skills in a dynamic aerospace environment. The position involves a blend of receiving, in-process and layout inspection duties, ensuring the quality and compliance of incoming materials and components.Key Responsibilities:" Perform comprehensive parts inspection work, documenting and communicating findings to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications." Conduct inspections according to major/minor criteria, utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) measurement techniques." Employ a variety of inspection tools and gauges such as calipers, micrometers, hard gauges, comparators, visual shadow charts, indicators, height gauges, and flush pin gauges." Execute plate layout inspections and visual inspections for workmanship, identifying issues like burrs, edge breaks, and handling damage." Validate that all parts inspection processes are completed accurately, capturing any variations and ensuring alignment with engineering requirements." Facilitate quality notifications within the Quality Management System (QMS), reporting non-conformances and documenting deviations in the Material Review Board (MRB) system." Operate within AS9100 quality and measurement systems, validating test data and NADCAP process adherence.Qualifications:" High school diploma or GED; AS or BS in a relevant field is a plus." Proven experience in manufacturing and quality control settings, ideally within the aerospace industry." Proficiency in receiving inspection, layout inspection, and blueprint reading." Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques, and an understanding of GD&T principles." Ability to identify defects and understand engineering drawings and specifications." Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams" Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) requiredDesired (not required) Skills:" CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operation or Programming
