Description Our client in the manufacturing and distribution industry is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join their team. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, our client specializes in supplying various platforms of aircraft/engine PMAs.The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for efficiently coordinating the receiving, picking, and shipping of orders. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational skills, be attentive, energetic, and hardworking. Additionally, excellent professional communication skills are essential for this role, both via email, phone, and in-person interactions.Train, delegate, and review team member activities based on established procedures, expectations, and performance standards. Collaborate with management to enhance processes, tools, and workflow.Provide patient mentoring to assist team members in resolving potential issues.Take responsibility for troubleshooting complex issues, engaging with various stakeholders such as customers, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Management, and Logistics teams through multiple communication channels.Receiving:Coordinate the timely distribution of inbound shipments to respective departments and individuals. Maintain effective communication with recipients as required.Identify appropriate methods for receiving materials, including computer system receipt, and ensure routing to the relevant department or individual.Maintain organization and accessibility in receiving and staging areas.Pull parts, package, and label inventory items for work orders.Clearly communicate special handling and packaging requirements to stockroom and shipping teams, both verbally and in writing.Coordinate the preparation of shipping documents, including packing slips, certificates, commercial invoices, SLI, BOL, and labels, adhering to customer, carrier, and procedural requirements.Determine suitable shipping methods, coordinate with carriers, and prepare shipments accordingly.Ensure professional handling of individual shipments, respecting privacy and discretion.Maintain compliance with import and export regulations for all products and shipments.Operate machinery such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and conveyors for product movement.Prepare bulk shipments onto pallets, including wrapping, strapping, labeling, and shipping.Organize and maintain stockroom and storage areas, including shelving, pallet racking, and mezzanine storage.Conduct accurate inventory checks and documentation as directed.Route materials and documentation to appropriate departments or individuals.Assign and communicate material locations in staging areas as required.Ensure adequate supply levels and replenish as needed.Collaborate with colleagues to efficiently accomplish large tasks.Adhere to safety protocols while maintaining appropriate attire for the office environment.Provide assistance to Stockroom and Facilities departments as necessary.Joining our client's team offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of their manufacturing and distribution processes in the aviation industryRequirements International Shipping, Shipping & Receiving, Shipping documentation, Shipping Functions, Shipping operations, Shipping management, Receiving Documents, Receiving Inspection Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
