Commercial Construction Project Manager/Estimator

Commercial General Contractor looking for Project Manager with estimating experience.

Rapidly growing Commercial GC looking to hire 1-2 qualified Project Managers/Estimators.

Jacksonville Office, Local Jacksonville work.

Projects currently range from $50K- $3M and are medical, restaurants, offices, and interior build-outs shopping center make overs.

Applicant MUST be knowledgeable in all phases of COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION.

THIS IS NOT AN INFORMATION TECH (IT) POSITION! If you are not a Construction Project manager or Estimator you need not apply.

Project Manager must have 2-5 years PM experience for immediate start.

Applicants must have estimating experience and extensive knowledge of construction process and have worked as a PM for a building or general contractor. Our company project manager Estimate, source, qualify and manage their individual jobs from start to finish.

Work in office environment 8-5 M-F with occasional site visits,

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Excellent communication skills.

Good understanding of MEP's and complete building systems.

Degree in building construction preferred

Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:

Estimate project cost from set of Contract documents.

Understand and oversee the construction project from start to finish.

Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.

Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.

Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking if team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project

Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.

Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.

Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.

Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.

Periodic inspection of construction sites.

Ensure project documents are complete.

Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
