Robert Half has an exciting role for an Application Development Manager. This is an onsite role in Jacksonville, FL.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall development and delivery life cycle of the solution and manage complex projects.
Ability to lead and work closely with a team of solution architects and senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead development efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
Lead a team and help with prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management and tracking of external commitments.
Understand the systems architecture, application architecture and integrations of the current applications and have the ability to evaluate the impact as new applications are being developed.
Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans (both technically & with regards to resources). Resolve impediments to ensure on time delivery of initiatives.
Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
Career management and development of direct reports.
Work with other technical teams to ensure technical strategies, architecture guidelines and standard are realized by efficient collaboration with architecture, Infrastructure DevOps and other teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
7+ years of Software Development experience; 3+ years of experience in building complex scalable and secure applications and leading development teams located on premise as well as 3rd party vendors.
Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud, mobile, web-technologies and API's.
Experience building highly available complex web applications in the Azure cloud platform.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and monitoring.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
