Description Robert Half is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The candidate will primarily focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Provide support during internal and external audits
Carry out additional projects as required
Complete full-cycle A/P
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents Requirements - Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Background working with Journal Entry
General familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation
Account reconciliation experience
Solid understanding of Foundation Series Financials
Expense Reconciliation experience highly preferred
Good understanding of Coding
Cash reconciliations experience highly desired
Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)
Earlier work involving Journal Entry Preparation
Adeptness in bank reconciliations
Foundational knowledge in Credit Card Reconciliation
Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation
Previous experience working with manufacturing
Practical knowledge of Daily Reconciliation
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Detailed and have the ability work independently
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
