Armed Security Officers (Security) Jacksonville, FL, United States of America Back Apply Now Back Apply Now Overview Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) has provided tailored security solutions throughout the Gulf Coast for over 45 years. We provide armed and unarmed security officers to protect commercial businesses and assets. We also perform federal contract security and emergency response work. Our electronics division installs and maintains burglar alarms, fire alarms, and CCTV systems. We also monitor commercial and residential alarm systems. In recent years our company has doubled in size. IPSC is ever growing and expanding into new areas and aspects of the security industry. Come be a part of our exciting and innovative team.Job Skills / Requirements IPSC is hiring already licensed armed security guards to work in Jacksonville. Pay is $18 per hour, paid weekly. Prior law enforcement, military, and/or security experience is a plus. Full-time and part-time positions available. Retirees and Veterans welcome.
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Must have reliable transportation and have an active cell phone number
Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
