KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is seeking full-time, salaried Sr. Guest Educators who are passionate about education and working toward becoming fully certified teachers in Florida.This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers and experienced educators who are actively working toward their Florida teaching certification and want to be in the classroom while completing their certification requirements.The Sr. Guest Educator role may be a great fit for educators who are:Working toward obtaining a Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) teaching certificateHolding a certification with a subject-area, ESOL, or Reading flag that they are actively working to clearCompleting coursework, certification assessments, or other requirements needed for their professional certificateLooking for a way to continue teaching and gaining classroom experience while completing their certification pathwaySr. Guest Educators are expected to carry out the responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including:Serve as the classroom teacher for an assigned grade level and/or subject areaPrepare and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned instructionMaintain high expectations for student achievement, engagement, and behaviorEstablish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environmentAssess student learning and adjust instruction to meet student needsCollaborate with teachers, school leaders, and support staffCommunicate effectively with the school team to ensure consistency and a smooth experience for studentsCarry out all responsibilities expected of a full-time classroom teacherOnce you obtain your Florida teaching certification or Statement of Eligibility (SOE) from FLDOE, you will be eligible for promotion to a Lead Teacher position.This role provides a unique opportunity to teach, grow, and make an impact now while working toward your long-term career as a certified Lead Teacher at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSStarting salary for full-time Sr. Guest Educator: $45,000Access to health benefits (including medical, dental and vision)Access to short-term and long-term disability insurance403b retirement program with a company matchProfessional developmentThe salary offered in the DocuSign doesn’t include any stipends for which the candidate may be eligible.
