Month-end close journal entries

Reporting to support month-end accounting close entries

Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts

Assists Controller with annual budget process

Assists Controller in managing inventory; enters inventory receipts and reconciles inventory on a weekly basis

Inputs cash receipts and completes weekly cash reports

Processes payroll and assists with onboarding new employees

Supports Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions

Performs other ad-hoc reporting and duties as assigned

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required

Two plus (2+) years’ accounting experience

Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills

Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word

Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger accounting

SUMMARY: Responsible for performing highly specialized, professional level, accounting duties according to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial statements and reports, including reports and support for footnote disclosures for GAAP consolidated and statutory audits. · Contribute to the management of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. · Work with external auditors on annual audit requests for consolidated and statutory reporting. · Prepare various account reconciliations and journal entries for the corporate function. · Assist with the maintenance of general ledger accounts. · Lead or participate in complex general accounting projects. EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited 4-year university or college EXPERIENCE:3 - 5 years of experience in a progressively responsible accounting role. TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Excel in addition to advanced proficiency with accounting systems. Experience with Oracle ERP is preferred. Knowledge and proficiency of working with large datasets in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Excel Power Pivot/Power Query) also preferred. COMPETENCIES:Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment. Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Knowledge and ability to apply GAAP to transactions applicable within the Company. Ability to apply GAAP reporting requirements in the writing of annual reports. OTHER: CPA required. JOB SCOPE:Position impacts the consolidated organization, as well as both standalone and unconsolidated entities.
