We are searching for a new Trauma Nurse for a PRN, as needed, night shift position,responsible to the Nursing Director/Charge Nurse for the delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process. The quality of care given will be in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and the Trauma Department. The Registered Nurse will maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community and delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided to assigned Trauma patients. The Trauma Nurse is responsible for meeting all standards associated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care.Essential Duties:
Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Memorial Hospital and Trauma Services.
In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family and other members of the health care team, the clinical Trauma RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment plans.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Florida RN License, American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC certification preferred. Employees transferring into position must obtain all certifications within 6 months.
Minimum of 2 years emergency department or trauma experience required. Trauma experience preferred.
