Cook needed for downtown Jacksonville food truck, On the Fly Sandwiches & Stuff. Must be able to handle a fast-paced kitchen, multi-task and be a quick learner. We are looking for someone with a great attitude and a passion for food and cooking. Punctuality and reliability are a MUST along with reliable transportation.
Shift hours will be Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. There may be occasional evening and Saturday shifts available. Wages include base pay plus tips. Tips paid out daily in cash, wages paid weekly. Start date would be late June/early July.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation and presentation.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a cook in a restaurant is preferable.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
A passion for cooking and a desire to create exceptional dishes for guests.
