Job Description:
Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining healthy and aesthetically pleasing landscapes. As a Landscape Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep and care of various residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time role with hours typically ranging between 32 and 45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, weeding, and edging.
Seasonal Tasks: Conduct seasonal tasks such as leaf removal, mulching, and planting annuals.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
Site Assessments: Regularly inspect properties to identify and address any issues or areas needing attention.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to complete tasks efficiently and to high standards.
Landscape Enhancement: Remove/install landscape plants such as flowers, bushes, sod, mulch and other ground cover.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is preferred.
Skills: Knowledge of plant care, landscape maintenance techniques, and the ability to operate landscaping equipment.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver’s license is required; certifications in horticulture or landscape maintenance are a plus.
