Job Summary:
As an Experienced Masonry Worker, you will play a crucial role in the construction and maintenance of brick, stone, and concrete structures. You will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lay bricks, blocks, and stone to build and repair walls, foundations, patios, fireplaces, and other structures.
-Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure precise and accurate masonry work.
-Mix and prepare mortar, cement, and other materials to required consistency for various projects.
-Measure and cut bricks, stones, and blocks to size using hand tools and machinery.
-Install and repair concrete surfaces, including sidewalks, driveways, and foundations.
-Perform routine maintenance and inspections on masonry work to ensure long-term durability.
-Ensure timely completion of projects without compromising quality.
-Assist with training and mentoring junior masons or apprentices when necessary.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in customer service is a plus.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Masonry Worker or in a similar role.
-Proficiency in working with brick, stone, concrete, and block materials.
-Strong knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in masonry.
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
-Skilled in the use of masonry tools, including trowels, chisels, hammers, grinders, and mixers.
-Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
-Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
