Job Developer/Recruiter: 20 hrs/week

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

The ILRC of Northeast Florida is a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities to fully access our community. We believe each person is able to achieve independence through access, education and employment. The Job Developer/Recruiter must be target driven, possess strong sales skills, and have connections with employers in the Northeast Florida area. This is a 1099/independent contractor position for 20 hours per week. MUST MEET MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS .

Scope of Services

Develops strategies to approach and engage new employer partners.

Places individuals with disabilities into employment that matches their skills and abilities.

Cultivates and maintains business partnerships in order to obtain their assistance, support and continual sponsorship of employing individuals with disabilities.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local labor market trends.

Assists individuals with writing high quality resumes and cover letters; completing paper job applications and online applications; job searching; obtaining and maintaining employment.

Maintains weekly contact with individuals receiving services.

Meets with individuals at their work site, the ILRC, and off-site.

Connects individuals with disabilities to the ILRC for employment services.

Continually corresponds with individual supports including VR counselors.

Maintains a caseload of 10-25 or more candidates.

Fulfills quarterly and annual benchmark goals set by the agency and those listed in program specific grants and contracts, including goals of caseload placement and retention of employment.

Travel is required to various areas in Clay, Baker, Nassau, Duval, and St. Johns counties.

Completes monthly progress reports and service notes on individuals using agency database(s).

This is not the full scope of services. A contract will be reviewed and signed before hire.

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years experience or employment in a public vocational rehabilitation program; experience in job placement, job coaching, or counseling; or other related experience working with persons with disabilities. OR

A Bachelors Degree in a related field such as rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, education, human resources, business administration, or economics, from an accredited college or university and one years experience as described above. OR

A Masters Degree in a related field such as rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, education, human resources, business administration, or economics, from an accredited college or university and six months experience as described above. OR

An Associates Degree from an accredited college or university, or a Bachelors or Masters Degree in an unrelated field, and two years experience as described above.

Must have the ability to pass a level 2 background screening through Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

Must assist multiple individuals with obtaining employment each month.

Must have the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.

Must have the ability to maintain a caseload of 10-25 or more individuals.

Must have a valid drivers license.

Travel is frequently required across counties of Duval, Clay, Baker, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
