Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Assistant Driller with strong character to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the lead driller to perform essential drilling operations, including auger and mud rotary drilling, rock coring, SPT testing, undisturbed sampling, and field permeability testing. This role requires someone who is not only technically capable but also reliable, trustworthy, and committed to safety and teamwork. The position involves travel to various project sites, with some assignments requiring overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Driller in operating drilling equipment and performing field testing.
Coordinate and collaborate with drilling manager and team staff.
Perform routine maintenance on drill rigs and related equipment.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
Exhibit reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic in all tasks.
Travel to project sites, including out-of-town assignments.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and MVR check.
Capable of performing manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
Experience operating heavy equipment.
Physical ability to lift and move 50-75 lbs regularly.
Capable of clearing military base access requirements.
Proven track record of reliability, trustworthiness, and strong character.
