This is a highly analytical role, requiring the ability to quickly assess and analyze multiple data points, including blueprints, material costs and timeliness to deliver an accurate estimate and communicate effectively with contractors, architects and other professionals.
Organization and time management skills are also key in this role as we need to make sure that bids are submitted timely as we often have multiple projects occurring at once.
Qualified candidates also need to be highly detail-oriented with a high level of mathematical skills and able to note all of the details of a blueprint including specialty fixtures and distances between elements.
