Position Overview:
we are seeking a skilled NFPA 17A and NFPA 17 Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire suppression systems, specifically focusing on wet chemical and dry chemical systems, to ensure compliance with National Fire Protection Association standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Design and Review:
● Design, review, and oversee the installation of wet and dry chemical extinguishing systems adhering to NFPA 17A and NFPA 17 standards.
● Conduct thorough reviews of system specifications and engineering documents.
1. Maintenance and Compliance:
● Lead regular maintenance and inspections to ensure systems are in optimal condition and meet all safety regulations.
● Develop and update compliance documentation as per the latest NFPA standards.
1. Training and Support:
● Provide training to staff and clients on system operation and emergency procedures.
● Act as a technical advisor and support during the installation and inspection phases.
1. Monitoring and Reporting:
● Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure continuous compliance with industry standards.
● Prepare detailed reports on system status and compliance for internal and regulatory review.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 3 years experience in fire protection systems, particularly with wet and dry chemical extinguishing systems.
● NICET Level 2 or higher certification in fire protection engineering or a related field.
● Strong understanding of NFPA 17A and NFPA 17 standards.
● Excellent communication and leadership skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
