We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our state-of-the-art, all holistic pet spa in historic San Marco! Only experienced pet groomers (dog & cat) with at least two years of experience, a solid track record need apply for either a full time or part time position.
Responsibilities
- Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
- Bathe dogs & cats and dry coat
- Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
- Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
- Trim nails
- Ensure the safety of dogs & cats at all times
- Express Anal Glands
- Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dog & cat grooming technician or similar role
- Comfortable working with anxious animals
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
- Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
- Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog & cat owners
- Strong attention to detail
