Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule transportation of shipments with carriers and drivers.
Monitor shipments ensuring timely delivery and address any delays or issues that arise.
Act as the main point of contact between clients and carriers, providing updates and resolution support.
Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for our services.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including pickup and delivery confirmations.
Generate reports and analyze data related to transportation operations and requests.
Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations related to transportation.
Proven experience as a Transportation Broker or Dispatcher in a logistics or transportation environment.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations and DOT guidelines.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and carriers.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think quickly and make informed decisions under pressure.
