Role Description:
This role as an On-Demand Courier, at Weeks Logistics, is based in Jacksonville, FL. As an On-Demand Courier, you will be responsible for delivering packages and documents to designated locations promptly and safely. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of shipments. You will be required to pick up freight at the local warehouse near Jacksonville International Airport and return any undelivered freight to the same location. This role requires a self-starter with excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail. This role is suited for someone excellent at working alone but can also work well with others. In this role, you will use your vehicle to deliver freight. No vehicle type is required but SUVs, trucks, and vans are ideal. You must also use some sort of routing application like circuit.
We are currently hiring for all positions! The positions include-
On-demand - you will remain on our roster and you will work on demand
Part-time - working 2-3 days per week
Full-time - you will be at the top of the roster and will be the first to get work
Requirements:
Valid driver's license
Current vehicle insurance
Good knowledge of Jacksonville, FL, and the surrounding areas
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and carrying packages up to 50lbs
Punctuality and reliability
MUST HAVE Delivery experience of at least ONE YEAR, please include any delivery experience in your resume.
Reliable vehicle to use for deliveries (SUV, Truck, or Van preferred but not required)
High school education
Active cell phone
Math skills such as addition, multiplication, division, and subtraction
Ability to use GPS or routing app
Ability to work one day during the weekend, as needed.
Ability to multi-task
Compensation:
$7.00 per unit delivered
1099 independent contractor which means you get to write off all the miles, gas, and more on your taxes!
Paid weekly
Schedule:
Sunday-Monday: Start time 11 am
Tuesday-Friday: Start time 12:30-1:30pm
This is a part-time role with full-time pay. Efficient drivers will deliver at a minimum of 6-7 stops per hour. Experienced drivers can deliver over 10+ per hour. Stops per hour lower than 6 will not be accepted.
